Hello Paper Crafters!! Here is your first look at a new stamp set from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog, Etched in Nature. I am providing you with the etched in nature tutorial . I love the beautiful line drawings, especially this sweet little bird. The other images – butterfly, mushrooms, branch & clover, complement the bird but could also be the focal point of a card. I fussy cut the butterflies, mushrooms and branch. I love the sentiment in this set: “When being together is more important than what you do, you’re with a friend.” During the pandemic, “being” with my friends either on the Facetime or Zoom, has meant everything to me.
Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper
I took my color cues for this card from the Hand-Penned DSP. The line art in the DSP works perfectly with the Etched in Nature stamp set. This paper has beautiful line drawings of flowers and leafy images water colored in soft pastels on one side. The other side features imagery (stripes, wavy lines, flowers, leafy sprigs, polka dots) drawn in white against a pastel water color wash.
Embellishments
I embellished this card with Genial Gems, which come in Mint Macaron and Pale Papaya. I also used the Loose Flower Flourishes in Pale Papaya. These embellishments add the perfect amount of sparkle and finishing touch to your projects.
