Share Sunshine Meets Peaceful Poppies
Hello Paper Crafters!! I have been asked, “How can I create easy cards using the Share Sunshine Download?” When I need to make a lot of cards, I like to use the One Sheet Wonder method of cutting a 12” x 12” sheet of DSP into different sizes to use as layers on a card. It’s a really easy way to make a lot of cards and I have done the hard work for you – creating the card layouts.
I have use 4 proportional sizes so that it is easy to make layers. What is proportional sizing? That means that the sizes are reduced proportional to a 5 ½” x 4 ¼” card front. Then all I need to do is add card stock layers by cutting, die-cutting or punching additional pieces for my cards.
Why did I choose the Peaceful Poppies DSP?
The main reason is that it is just so beautiful. The second reason is that it has a lot of the colors that are used in the Share Sunshine PDF Download. The sheet of DSP I choose has an overall flower pattern on one side and a geometric stripe on the other side. By doing this, I can make masculine cards and it’s easy to create my own color palettes with Old Olive striped side. I did this because some of the Share Sunshine pieces I wanted to use didn’t coordinate with the overall flower pattern side.
Prep Your Share Sunshine Download
I would recommend that you print out one of each page on Whisper White CS and then get out your die-cutting machine & dies and coordinating punches and cut everything out while watching TV. You should also print out the download on regular paper. That way you can use it as a reference while assembling cards. It tells you what colors were used on each page and coordinating dies, punches & stamp sets.

How to Prep for this Project
- Purchase the Share Sunshine download.
- Purchase my One Sheet Wonder Tutorial. You will receive step-by-step instructions with photos of each card. You will also receive the template for cutting the DSP. The tutorial costs $10. Email me at here to purchase the tutorial.
- Prep card bases. I pulled one of each color used in the DSP. I used 2 Poppy Parade and 2 Old Olive and 1 of each of the rest of the colors (Pool Party, Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White & Basic Black), for a total of 13 card bases.
- Chose the sentiments you want to use. You can easily adapt the designs to work with the sentiments and colors you choose.
- Create Card Designs: I have done all the hard work for you. Purchase my tutorial with instructions to create 13 different card designs.
- Get out your scraps. I designed these cards to make use of scraps. I know we all have them and need ideas on how to use them.
- Below are 2 of the designs included in the tutorial.

The Color Palette
Step 1:
- Card Base: Poppy Parade CS – 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score at 4 ¼”
- Basic Black CS Layer: 3 ¾” x 3 ½”
- DSP: 3 x 3 ¼”
- Sentiment: 2nd Largest Stitched Square
Step 2:
Putting it all together.
- Basic Black Layer: Glue to card front.
- DSP: Glue the DSP to the center of the Basic Black CS.
- Sentiment: Use Dimensionals to attach the sentiment to the card front.

- Night of Navy CS Layer: 4 ¼” x 3”

- Sentiment Mat: Old Olive CS – 4” x 1”
Step 2:
Putting it all together.
- Night of Navy Layer: Attach to card front with Dimensionals.
- DSP: Glue the DSP to the center of the Night of Navy CS.
- Sentiment: Glue to Old Olive CS mat .
- Use Dimensionals to attach the sentiment to the card front.
