Stampin’ Trimmer: The Personal Paper Cutter: Bulleted Features List and Video

Stampin’ Trimmer

Have you been looking for a portable paper cutter to meet your basic paper cutting needs? The Stampin’ Trimmer is a lightweight, portable, personal paper cutter designed with the paper crafter in mind. The exclusive Stampin’ Trimmer was designed with input from Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who knew what they wanted in the perfect paper trimmer. The biggest feature: It gives you a full 12″ cut and score. What’s more, you can keep the scoring and cutting blades on the trimmer’s cutting and scoring track at the same time. The Stampin’ Trimmer is just what crafters and demonstrators have been asking for.

1. Cutting Base

  • Extra wide cutting base measures 6 1/4″ wide: Perfect size for most projects. You don’t need to open the extender arm to make the most common cuts.

Wide Base

  • Full 12″ cut or score: The cutting track is extra-long with a space at the top and bottom so you don’t have to remove the cutting and scoring blades.

  • There is a raised ledge on the top and bottom and on both sides of the cutting track: You rest your card stock or paper on the ledge to ensure that it is lined up for straight cuts.

  • Curved side makes it easy to hold in your hand.

2. Measurements and Grid Lines

  • Full ruler that measures down to 1/16″, both horizontally and vertically.  When your paper is on the trimmer it is great to have the ruler is printed on the outside of the ledge so you can make sure your paper is at the correct measurement.

  • Ruler and grid protected by durable plastic cover: This is so they don’t wear off.
  • Grid lines are 1/4″ wide: Perfect for making sure your card stock or paper is lined up.

  • Grid lines on the right side of the track are for cutting and scoring thin strips. Can also be used to line up smaller pieces of card stock.

  • 14 1/4″ extendable ruler for large projects: Makes it easy to use with 12″ x 12″ card stock and paper.

3. Extender Arm

  • Extends to 14 1/2″: This is perfect for 12” x 12” paper or card stock.
  • 6 ½” mark is indicated in the hinge of the extender arm.

  • Sturdy, stabilizing leg pulls down and locks into place: Designed to make the Stampin’ Trimmer stable and flush with base to ensure straight cuts.

  • The ruler on the arm is also protected by a durable plastic cover.

4. Cutting & Scoring Blades

  • 1 cutting and 1 scoring blade included. Refills available.
  • Dark blade is for cutting.

  • Blades have their own home: One on the top and one on the bottom of the track.

  • Insertion point for blades is at the bottom of the track.

  • Cutting blade cuts in both directions: You get twice the cuts from one blade.
  • The hook on the back of the blade holds onto the cutting and scoring track: This facilitates the straightest cuts possible.

  • The precision tip on the top of the blade: Allows for precise starting and stopping of cuts and scores in conjunction with the ruler on the track.

5. Cutting and Scoring Track

  • Locking Mechanism: This locks down the track so your paper doesn’t move and you can easily cut or score smaller pieces of paper and card stock. Also great to lock when transporting so that the track doesn’t swing open or the cutting mat fall out.

  • The track is clear plastic: This is so you can see the ruler on the track and the groove on the cutting and scoring mat.

  • Curved handle: Makes it easy to lift the track.

6. Storage Compartment

  • Handy storage compartment on the back: Great for storing extra blades, a bone folder, tweezers, piercing tool, pencils and journaling pens.

  • Clear cover so you can see what’s inside.

  • Divided into varying sized compartments to keep you organized.

7. Additional Features

  • Non-skid feet: Keeps the Stampin’ Trimmer from sliding on the table while cutting.

  • I also find it helpful around the house for a variety of projects like cutting photos, school projects, cutting items from a newspaper or magazine like coupons, recipes and articles.

This is the paper trimmer that all other paper trimmers want to be! The Stampin’ Trimmer perfectly meets the needs of rubber stampers, card makers and scrapbookers.
