August 2018 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Projects

Hello Paper Crafters!! I’ve created four August 2018 Paper Pumpkin alternative projects for you. If you are someone who likes to have options, then these projects are for you.

Project 1: Thinking of You

August 2018 Paper Pumpkin Alternative

This card uses two of the envelopes because I really liked the splatter pattern on the inside. I punched 3 pieces from the Flirty Flamingo and 3 pieces from the Old Olive and arranged them on Flirty Flamingo card stock in a pleasing pattern for the background. Project 2: You’re Amazing

August 2018 Paper Pumpkin Alternative

For this card, I tied 4 strands of the Baker’s Twine into a knot and glued it in front of a grouping of the vellum leaves and used a piece of the silver foil from an envelope to add some punch to the label.

Project 3: Embossed

August 2018 Paper Pumpkin Alternative

I like to make the most of everything in the kits so I used the vellum that was leftover after I punched out all the leaves as a stencil. The Shimmery White embossing paste (I love the shimmery effect) and the stencil was used to create a leafy background on my card base. I kept the tag and embellishments to a minimum so that the background would stand out. Click here to see how I used the Shimmery White embossing paste to create the look of stone work.

Project 4: Sympathy

I don’t generally make sympathy cards ahead of time, but I wanted to show off all the stamps in the Blissful Blooms stamp set. I used the leftover piece I cut out of another card with the Stitched Shapes Framelits to bring the focus to the center of the card.
